En Ka strives to support projects that address the needs of students and youth, the elderly, the physically and mentally challenged, and non-profit organizations devoted to providing community enrichment and health and social services.

EnKa targets grants towards those requests that benefit a large number of Winchester residents. Requests from organizations outside of Winchester should demonstrate benefits to Winchester residents, and grants should reflect the proportion of Winchester residents in the population served. We strive to support as many local community groups as possible, therefore we encourage applicants to apply to multiple organizations for support.

Guidelines

En Ka considers for funding:

• New program initiatives
• Modest capital requests
• Non-profit organizations whose primary purpose is providing direct services

En Ka is not inclined to fund:

• Salaries and fixed operating expenses
• Transportation expenses
• Materials and supplies to support the day-to-day operations of Winchester public and private schools
• Individual elementary school (or individual classroom) projects, programs or equipment

Grant Application Deadlines

Grant application deadlines are Oct 1, January 2, March 1, and
May 1 of each year. Application deadlines are publicized regularly in the Winchester Star and Daily Times Chronicle.
